Core Mechanics

Turn-Based Structure:

• Sequential Turns: Combat in MemeLordz is structured around sequential turns, where each participant in the battle takes their turn to perform actions. This includes attacking, defending, using items, or switching MemeLordz.

• Speed Attribute: The order of turns is determined by the speed attribute of each MemeLord. Higher-speed MemeLordz act first, allowing for strategic advantages in battle.

Action Points (EP):

• EP System: Each action a MemeLord takes in battle consumes a certain number of Energy Points (EP). Basic attacks use fewer EP, while powerful moves and abilities require more EP

• EP Management: Players must manage their EP carefully, balancing between using powerful moves and conserving EP for defensive or strategic actions.

Combat Moves and Abilities

Basic Attacks:

• Physical and Special Attacks: MemeLordz have a variety of basic attacks, categorized as physical or special. Physical attacks rely on the MemeLord's attack stat, while special attacks depend on the special attack stat.

• Type Advantage: Each MemeLord belongs to one of several Affinity types, such as entertainer, common, military, spiritual, survivalist, political, royal, conspiracist, ancient, artist, deranged and meme. Using attacks that have a type advantage over the opponent's type deals extra damage.

Special Abilities:

• Unique Moves: Each MemeLord has a set of unique moves that can be learned as they level up. These moves often have special effects, such as inflicting status conditions or providing buffs.

• Skill Trees: Players can customize their MemeLordz’s abilities through skill trees, unlocking new moves and enhancing existing ones based on their strategic preferences.

Status Effects and Buffs:

• Inflicting Conditions: Some moves can inflict status effects on opponents, such as paralysis, poison, sleep, or burn. These conditions have various impacts, such as reducing stats, causing damage over time, or preventing actions.
